Dear Friends,
What a very long week this week was. At this time, last week, Suzan, Rosemary, and I were in the office together listening to Governor Murphy’s press conference. A week later and the 3 of us are practicing what we preach about social distancing and limiting store trips to the necessities. We are so grateful the new volunteers who joined our veterans and create a true and meaningful impact in our communities. Whether we are social distancing, socially isolating, making calls, shopping for our clients, our neighbors, or our family members, we are all doing our part to flatten the curve and that in itself is meaningful and truly what this organization is about- neighbors helping neighbors.
With that, I wanted to share this link from the author, Gretchen Rubin 10 Tips for Staying Calm During COVID-2019: https://www.instagram.com/p/B9sEToIB7RI/
I found this list to be beneficial and one of the things my colleagues in the nonprofit and health world have been talking about- taking time to take care of you while socially distancing. It is hard to find a silver lining during these uncertain times, however so many people have offered to help. I have “met” so many lovely people via FaceTime this week- welcome to this warm, welcoming organization.

Most of Haddonfield and Haddon Heights' houses
of worship have switched their services to online for the time-being if that is of interest to you. My gym has switched to virtual workouts as well, it was nice to workout with my gym friends yesterday from my living room and just “be” together. It is amazing to see how we are finding fun and creative ways to stay connected.
We are grateful for all you do for our clients. In the meantime, if you have any questions, concerns, or just need to talk, please let Suzan or myself know.
Until we can see each other in person, stay healthy and well!
Nancy
